The Five: Tallest buildings in the world

The tallest buildings in the world, all are near, or taller than half a Km! This is a list of the talles five:

5: Shanghai World Finance Center
The number five in the list, is 492m tall, located in Shanghai, China. Their 101 stories, finished in 2008 make this beatuifull structure the fith of the list.

 4: Taipei 101
Located in Taipei, Taiwan. This structure outstands from the much smaller buildings next to it, and this is because of the 101 stories it contains. It has a height of 509m, and thanks to it's height it was the tallest building when built in 2004, until 2010.

 3: One World Trade Center
This young building, it's youst preacius. Located in New York, it was born this year, it has 104 stories. 541m, it you lay down the building it will take you 6 and a half minutes to walk on it! It is the new main tower of the new World Trade Center.

2: Abraj Al Bait

This peculiar building also known as Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower, is the second of the list. Located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It has 16 more floors than the One World Trade Center (it has 120 stories), however it's 60m taller. Being 601m tall that are highlighted because it outstands form the group of buildings that outstand from the rest. This could be considered the best of the best in Mecca.

1: Burj Khalifa
This thing it's just.. Insane! The biggest skycraper of all times, built in 2010, their 163 stories are almost the size of 3 Empire States!

Precius, amaazing, astonishing, you could look at this thing for hours. Located in the famous city of Dubai, the construction of this skycraper began in 2004, 6 years it took to build this.

It cost 1.5 billion dollars to build this, relatively to the One World Trade Center (OWTC) it's very cheap as the OWTC was 3.8 billion dollars! The building of this structure broke more than 10 records, it has the tallest nightclub, 144th floor. Highest restaurant. Obviosusly the tallest building. Even the tallest new year's firework display.

The 828meters of this tower were desinged by the same person who desing the Willis tower, and the One World Trade Center. It is supposed to represent cultural and historical elements of the region.

The Burj Khalifa's water system supplies an average of 946,000litres of water per day through 100km of pipes. An additional 213km of piping serves the fire emergency system, and 34km supplies chilled water for the air conditioning system. The tower's cooling is equivalent to that provided by 13,000tons of melting ice in one day! To wash the 24,348 windows, totaling 120,000 m2 of glass a horizontal track has been installed on the exterior of Burj Khalifa at levels 40, 73, and 109. Each track holds a 1,500kg bucket machine which moves horizontally and then vertically using heavy cables.

This building has an enourmous variety of thinghs (as shown in the image at the right). It includes from the Armani hotel & suites, to the skyviews in three diffrent heights of the tower and to the base jumping of the tower.

This monster will probablly keep this record for a long time, keepeing his more than 10 world records, and his more than 20 awards. When & where will there be a bigger monster to beat this tower?

Other in progress:
Nowdays there's many towers in construction, mainly in China. This tower will be 2nd, 3rd, 4th, as they are many tower higher than 600m, but there is only one, planned or constructed higher than 700m and it's the Burj Khalifa and its 828meters of height.
